Method:

Find

int Find(string str, boolean caseSense, int from)

Look for a substring in a string

Description:

Use the Find method to know the position of the first character of a substring in a string.

It returns the position of the first instance of the str string in the string the method is applied to, starting from the character position specified by the from parameter (the default is to start from the first character of the string); if the str string is not found the value 0 (zero) is returned.

Parameters:
str

the string to search

caseSense

specifies if the match must be case sensitive or not

from

start the search from the "from-th" character on

Returns:

The index (1-based) of the first character of the substring or 0 if the substring was not found

Errors:

ErrBadIndex
